Product Overview
The COMPAQ CBIT Busbar Insulation Tubing is engineered to provide safe, space-efficient insulation for copper and aluminium busbars up to 66kV. Particularly effective in confined layouts, this tubing can be applied to both circular and rectangular busbar profiles, shrinking uniformly when heated to achieve the required minimum wall thickness. It can be installed quickly during large-scale production using an oven or on-site with a hot air gun or gas torch, making it suitable for both OEMs and field applications.
Manufactured from a halogen-free, flame-retardant polymer, the CBIT Series combines high dielectric strength, tracking resistance, and long-term durability. Its advanced material formulation reduces toxic and corrosive effects in fire situations, ensuring compliance with modern safety standards. By allowing reduced air spacing between busbars, it supports more compact switchgear cabinet design without compromising reliability. The COMPAQ CBIT Series delivers proven insulation performance, environmental safety, and installation flexibility for demanding industrial and utility power distribution systems.
Provides strong dielectric strength and tracking resistance for busbars up to 66kV.
Allows reduced air clearance between busbars, enabling more compact switchgear cabinet layouts.
Resistant to UV, weathering, and surface erosion for dependable indoor and outdoor performance.
Easy to shrink using an oven, hot air gun, or gas torch, suitable for both factory and field applications.
Retains performance properties under normal storage conditions, ensuring readiness for both immediate and future use.
