Product Overview
COMPAQ CHRB/CHSB Series provides a reliable solution for insulating and sealing cable connections in air-insulated medium voltage switchgear and transformer cable end boxes up to 36kV. These heat shrinkable boots are moulded components that cover the interface between the cable lug and the equipment bushing, offering secure phase-to-phase and phase-to-ground insulation where air clearances are limited.
Designed for flexibility in installation, the boots are available in Right Angle (CHRB) and Straight (CHSB) versions to suit different layouts. Their cross-linked, non-tracking polyolefin construction combined with an internal hot melt adhesive coating delivers strong dielectric performance, erosion resistance, and a moisture-tight seal. By preventing flashovers caused by humidity, rodents, or contaminated environments, they help maintain network safety and equipment reliability. Fully compatible with COMPAQ heat shrink terminations, the CHRB/CHSB Series ensures quick installation, extended service life, and consistent performance in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
Designed to work seamlessly with all COMPAQ heat shrink terminations, extending system reliability and service life.
Cross-linked, thermally stabilised polyolefin delivers superior mechanical and electrical performance.
Internal hot-melt adhesive coating creates a durable seal, preventing moisture ingress and ensuring consistent performance.
Suitable for indoor and outdoor service in polluted and harsh environments.
Shrinks evenly using a gas torch or hot air blower, reducing downtime.
Manufactured from non-tracking, cross-linked polyolefin to withstand electrical stress and ensure long term reliability.

CHRB is a right-angle boot for 90° terminations; CHSB is a straight boot for inline connections.
Yes. They are manufactured from UV-stabilized, non-tracking cross-linked polyolefin and are designed to perform reliably in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
Yes. Each boot is internally lined with hot melt adhesive for superior sealing.
Yes. The CHRB/CHSB boots are fully compatible with all COMPAQ heat shrink terminations.
They insulate and protect the connection between a cable lug and an equipment bushing in medium voltage switchgear and transformer cable boxes, providing phase-to-phase and phase-to-ground insulation.
No. Standard heating equipment is sufficient for installation, and the internal hot-melt adhesive lining ensures a secure and moisture-tight seal.
