COMPAQ’s CRS Series – Heat Shrinkable Anti-Tracking Rain Sheds – are engineered to increase the creepage distance of medium voltage cable terminations, improving insulation reliability without increasing the termination length. Manufactured from high-grade cross-linked polyolefin with excellent non-tracking and UV-resistant properties, these rain sheds are essential components in outdoor and high-pollution environments.
The sheds are internally coated with thermoplastic adhesive, providing a tight seal and superior weatherproofing, making them ideal for use in MV terminations in rainy, coastal, and industrial zones.
Effectively increases surface distance to prevent flashovers and surface discharge in polluted, wet, or high-humidity environments.
Specially formulated polymer prevents leakage currents and maintains insulation integrity under contamination and electrical stress.
Shields terminations from moisture during rain or fog, ensuring uninterrupted performance and preventing flashovers.
Ensures secure bonding to the termination surface and forms a tight, water-resistant seal against ingress.
