Product Overview

CCIT / CCOT Series from COMPAQ offers advanced cold shrink termination kits developed specifically for medium voltage XLPE and EPR insulated cables up to 42kV.
These kits utilize pre-expanded silicone rubber components, housed on removable plastic cores, allowing quick, flame-free installation without the need for heating tools. This not only simplifies on-site work but significantly reduces safety risks and project time.

The CCIT variant is suited for indoor environments such as switchgear or terminal boxes, while the CCOT version is designed for harsh outdoor conditions, providing additional protection against UV exposure, moisture ingress, and environmental contaminants.

How Are We The Best

Product Benefits?

Tool-Free Cold Shrink Technology

Pre-expanded silicone components simplify installation, eliminating the need for heat sources or special tools, and enhancing on-site safety.

01

Integrated Electrical Stress Control

Built-in stress grading components ensure reliable electric field distribution, reducing the risk of partial discharge and insulation failure.

02

High-Performance Silicone Rubber

Manufactured from track-resistant, UV-stabilized silicone for excellent mechanical strength and long-term weathering performance.

03

Hydrophobic Surface Behaviour

Maintains a dry insulation surface even under wet or polluted conditions, significantly reducing leakage currents and enhancing reliability.

04

Indoor and Outdoor Application

CCIT series is suitable for switchgear, panels, and enclosures, while the CCOT series is designed to withstand outdoor exposure, including UV, moisture, and temperature extremes.

05

Versatile Cable Compatibility

Supports a wide range of cable constructions including single-core and three-core, armoured (SWA, AWA) and unarmoured types.

06

Lug Type Flexibility

Fully compatible with both mechanical and compression lugs, facilitating on-site adaptability.

07

Fast and Consistent Installation

Reduces total labour time and cost, while maintaining uniform quality across multiple terminations.

08

Flame-Free Safety

Eliminates open flame requirements, making it suitable for installations in hazardous or restricted zones.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

CCIT is suitable for indoor environments, such as panels and enclosures. CCOT is designed for outdoor or exposed areas where environmental sealing and UV resistance are essential.

Yes. COMPAQ’s cold shrink kits support SWA, AWA, and unarmoured cable types with appropriate earthing accessories.

No. The pre-expanded cold shrink bodies automatically shrink into place once the plastic core is removed—no flame or heat tools are necessary.

Yes, both mechanical and compression lugs are compatible and may be ordered separately as per conductor type and size.

Absolutely. COMPAQ cold shrink terminations are tested in accordance with IEC 60502-4, HD 629.1 and meet RoHS/REACH environmental directives.
